Overview
I built a multi-vendor dropshipping marketplace as a solo entrepreneur and lead engineer, working together with a few freelancers. The platform allows different vendors to sell their products in one online store, with automatic payments, product import, and shipping cost calculation.
The challenge
Many vendors already use different platforms and systems for their products. Their data formats are different and importing products into one marketplace can be complicated.
Shipping cost calculation was another challenge. The price needed to depend on:
Distance between customer and vendor
Package size and weight
Selected courier
The goal was to create one system where vendors can easily join, upload products, and sell without changing their existing workflow.
My solution
I designed and built a marketplace system where vendors can:
Add products manually
Import product lists from other platforms
Connect custom product feeds
The system automatically synchronizes product data, pricing, and availability.
I implemented secure online payment processing to support international payment methods.
For shipping, I created a dynamic calculation system. The final shipping price is calculated in real time during checkout based on:
Location (distance)
Package size and weight
Selected shipping provider
Customers can choose between different courier options and pack box shelves, and the system shows the correct shipping cost before payment.
As lead engineer, I designed the architecture, built the main logic, and managed freelancers who worked on specific parts of the project.

The platform allows multiple vendors to sell through one store without complex manual work.
