Overview
I developed a system to automatically generate CMR transport documents using scanned warehouse data and a cloud database. The goal was to reduce manual data entry, prevent document errors, and speed up transport preparation for office staff.

The challenge
In warehouse operations, pallet HU numbers were scanned during loading.
Transport documents (CMR) were created manually, which could cause:
Typing errors
Incorrect article numbers
Mismatched shipment data
Time-consuming document preparation
The company needed a more reliable and automated workflow that connects scanned data directly to transport documentation.
My solution
I built a formula-based spreadsheet system connected to a centralized cloud database.
When pallet HU numbers are scanned, the data is automatically inserted into a structured workflow.
The system validates each entry, including:
Article number format check (10-digit validation)
Duplicate detection
Matching scanned items with expected shipment data
If any issue appears, it is flagged for review.
After validation, the system combines scanned data with cloud database information such as:
Receiver details
Pallet type
Planning date
Truck number
Transport configuration
The workflow then automatically calculates:
Total handling units
Pallet counts
Shipment totals
Once everything is confirmed, a complete CMR transport document is generated with all required information.
The result
The company received a faster and more reliable document generation process.
Main results:
Reduced manual data entry
Fewer document errors
Automatic validation of scanned items
Faster CMR preparation
Consistent and auditable transport documents
The system connects warehouse scanning directly with office documentation in one automated workflow.
